The tournament, featuring 12 two-player teams, has become one of the most popular events during the so-called "silly season" between the end of the official PGA Tour® season and beginning of the next. The winners carded a final-round 59 in the scramble format to finish at 31-under par and force a playoff that they eventually won on the first hole of sudden-death.
