On the European Tour, the English-born champion played Dynamic Gold SL shafts in his irons to score a three stroke victory and his second European win of the year.

Meanwhile on the Nationwide Tour, True Temper shafts claimed their 25th victory of the 2009 season, an unprecedented win percentage of 96 percent.
