TRUE TEMPER SIGNS DAVIS LOVE III

Memphis, Tennessee - January 25, 1996 - Davis Love III signed a three-year agreement to play and endorse True Temper’s revolutionary new SensiCore™ in his golf clubs. SensiCore is a patented vibration dampening technology designed to allow golfers to feel the shot without the aftershocks. “SensiCore is amazing,” according to Love, “It gives me a great new feel and confidence in my irons and allows me to play steel shafts for better control and consistency.” SensiCore has enabled Love to end his well documented experimentation with graphite irons over the past several years. “My game depends upon my ability to work the ball with my irons. You have to be able to fade or draw the ball to get close to most of the pin placements on the PGA Tour,” says Love, “SensiCore lets me do that with steel shafts which add accuracy and repeatability to my shots.”

True Temper recently shot a television ad featuring Davis and SensiCore. The 30 second ad will air on The Golf Channel and select networks beginning in March. Full page ads continue to appear in most of the major golf publications. True Temper’s marketing department will further support retailers with posters, brochures, and demo kits.

SensiCore is an integrated composite core which is positioned inside the shaft between the golfer’s hands and the clubhead to absorb the vibration before it reaches the golfer’s hands. This technology dampens up to 70% of the vibration of a steel shaft and more than twice that of graphite shaft. SensiCore is now available in the Stratus™ shaft, a new lightweight, mid flexpoint shaft made with the new lightweight NCM 180™ alloy. SensiCore will also be made available in Dynamic Gold™ steel and Release steel early this spring.
