TRUE TEMPER NAMES NEW DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
Memphis, Tennessee - July 9, 1996 - True Temper Sports announces the appointment
of William (Bill) Beatty to the position of Director of Marketing. Beatty joins
the company from Rubbermaid, where he was most recently the Group Manager
responsible for the Juvenile Products Business Team. His background includes key
marketing positions within both the Rubbermaid and Mattel Corporations, and he
holds an MBA from Pepperdine University in California. In his new assignment,
Beatty will be responsible for all marketing, branding, advertising and product
planning activities for the complete line of golf and specialty tubing products.
He will report directly to Scott Hennessy, President of the company.
Commenting on the hiring of Mr. Beatty, Hennessy states, “We are very excited

years of successful product development and strong marketing experience.
