TRUE TEMPER PARTNERS WITH POWERBILT

MEMPHIS, TN - June 17, 1997 - True Temper Sports, producers of high performance steel and composite golf shafts is pleased to announce a new product partnership with PowerBilt. The partnership centers around the launch of PowerBilt’s new, TPS®,TPS® Titanium, Grand Slam®, Citation Plus®, Momentum®, and
Dynasty® product lines. Each of the sets will be introduced in September at the 1997 PGA International Golf Show in Las Vegas, with steel and graphite shafts from True Temper.
The products are a result of a unique design approach known as System Integration™ which allows True Temper to design and match the appropriate shaft combination with club heads to achieve optimum performance in the finished club. Complete computerized head and curvature analyses were performed to predict and quantify the playability, cutting the development time in half.
Scott Hennessy, President of True Temper, noted that the company’s proprietary design and engineering talent allows them to best match the requirements of individual customers. “We offered PowerBilt our complete technical support and they took full advantage of our capabilities.
