Orlando, FL - January 30, 1998 - In 1996, True Temper Sports redefined the steel shaft industry with the introduction of SensiCore® technology. SensiCore® is a patented vibration damping technology that eliminates up to 70% of the vibration in a golf shaft. Once offered only in steel, tour proven SensiCore® is now available in a series of lightweight graphite shafts for woods and irons.

SensiCore® Graphite Flight Trajectory Series™ (FTS) is the first complete series of lightweight graphite shafts designed and engineered to optimize ball flight and enhance overall feel. Like its steel counterpart, SensiCore® Graphite reduces up to 70% of the unwanted vibration that occurs at impact. SensiCore® Graphite is the culmination of a collaborative research and design effort which has been in development for over two years. Teaming with vibration abatement experts, True Temper engineers have developed a composite polymer core insert, unique to graphite shafts, that reduces the harsh feel associated with lightweight graphite. The insert size and placement were selected to achieve optimum vibration damping which generates a smooth and solid feel at impact.

Each SensiCore® Graphite FTS shaft is designed and engineered to achieve optimum ball flight. The tour, mid, and high flex shafts deliver a range of ball flight patterns ranging from a low penetrating flight path to a high arcing trajectory. SensiCore® Graphite FTS is the only graphite shaft series with true custom fitting potential. “The custom fitting benefit of SensiCore® Graphite FTS makes it a perfect choice for major club manufacturers using custom fitting carts,” notes Bill Beatty. “A mix and matched set of tour, mid, and high flight shafts is the perfect solution for golfers who have trouble getting their long irons airborne and keeping their short irons from flying too high.” Each wood and iron shaft in the FTS series weighs in at 68 and 79 grams respectively, regardless of flex point.
