TUCSON VICTORY
SECOND CONSECUTIVE WIN BY PLAYER USING SENSICORE
Final group on Sunday all rely on Dynamic
Gold and EI-70 graphite from
True Temper
Tucson, AZ - February 23, 1998 - Sunday’s
final round of the Tucson Chrysler Classic was a little bit more exciting than
the winner intended. Bringing a seven shot lead into the final round did not
bode well for other players who also had designs on the title. However, by the
end of the day spectators would see that lead evaporate and then grow back to
two shots entering the final hole, where a closing birdie locked-up a four shot
win.
The victory was marked the second consecutive week that a player using SensiCore
by True Temper grabbed the champions check. Tucson’s winner plays Dynamic Gold
shafts with SensiCore in his irons, and True Temper’s high performance EI-70
graphite in his woods. As a matter of fact, all three players in Sunday’s final
group use True Temper Dynamic Gold iron shafts and EI-70 graphite wood shafts.
True Temper shafts have been used in four of six victories on the PGA Tour this
year. Anyone see a trend developing here?
True Temper Sports is the worldwide leader in the manufacture and sales of golf
shafts. And True Temper shafts have been used in more professional tournament
victories than all other shaft brands combined. True
Temper is based in Memphis, TN.
