TRUE TEMPER UNVEILS 1999 PRODUCT LINE
Orlando, FL - January 29, 1999 - Today at the 1999 PGA Merchandise Show, True
Temper Sports unveiled its 1999 product line. This new product line features
brands under the True Temper, Grafalloy and True Temper Titanium names.
Leading the way is Dynamic Gold Lite®. This revolutionary shaft features the
performance benefits of Dynamic Gold® in an ultra lightweight design. Dynamic
Gold Lite weighs in at 109 grams versus Dynamic Gold’s 127 grams. Dynamic Gold
Lite is available with or without SensiCore® vibration damping technology. (For
more information, please see news release on Dynamic Gold Lite.)
Golfers who prefer graphite should try the new Grafalloy ProLogic™ irons. These
new lightweight irons are manufactured utilizing state-of-the-art processes that
produce the most consistent set of graphite iron shafts in golf. Each shaft is
individually designed to optimize the performance of every club in the set and
held to a nominal of +/- 2 CPM (cycles per minute) of stiffness to produce a
consistent frequency distribution throughout the set. The result is more
consistent feel and shot making, similar to steel, but with the lightweight
properties of graphite. (For more information, please see news release on
Grafalloy ProLogic Irons.)
In 1999, True Temper introduced SensiCore Graphite Flight Trajectory Series™,
the first graphite shaft product line to utilize SensiCore® vibration damping
technology. True Temper is expanding its SensiCore offering in 1999 to include
the tour tested EI-70®, Dynamic Gold® Graphite, TrueLite™ and TrueLite™ 55,
solidifying True Temper’s position as the #1 premium graphite supplier in golf.
Other additions to the graphite line include redesigned versions of both
Release™ and TT Lite® graphite. The new TT Lite XL weighs in at 75 grams for
woods and 74 grams for irons. It is an extremely versatile shaft for custom
fitting and the extra-long design allows for clubs to be built substantially
longer than standard length. The new Release graphite is the perfect choice for
golfers with slower swings. The low-flex design provides a higher trajectory and
longer distance. This 70 gram shaft is available in both men’s and ladies’
flexes.
True Temper is also introducing its first ever titanium product line in 1999.
The True Temper Titanium Series will offer golfers outstanding playability and
feel. These shafts deliver the most sought after benefits of steel and graphite,
resulting in a combination of feel, strength, playability, and lightweight that
is unique to the titanium material. (For more information, please see news
release on the True Temper Titanium product line.)
