TRUE TEMPER/GRAFALLOY SUCCESS CONTINUES ON WORLD’S PROFESSIONAL GOLF TOURS

Orlando, FL - January 29, 1999 - True Temper Sports registered another outstanding year on the world’s professional golf tours. Golfers using True Temper and Grafalloy shafts played their way to the winner’s circle 125 times in 1998.

Dynamic Gold® steel shafts led the charge. They once again proved why they are the number one choice on the PGA tour by capturing 27 victories (win total includes players using Dynamic Gold with SensiCore®).

True Temper also had another exceptional year with SensiCore. Players using SensiCore shafts played their way to the winner’s circle a record 34 times. There are now more than 60 touring professionals playing True Temper shafts with SensiCore. “The SensiCore win total is increasing every year,” notes Bill Beatty, Director of Marketing. “True Temper shafts with SensiCore are rapidly becoming the choice of the best players in the world, and many leading club manufacturers are featuring SensiCore as the stock option in their premium iron offering.”

True Temper and Grafalloy graphite shafts also flexed their muscle in 1998. Players using EI-70® and ProLite® shafts won a combined 42 tournaments worldwide. One of those players happened to be the 1998 Leading Money Winner and Scoring Champion on the PGA tour. He not only plays EI-70 graphite, but also Dynamic Gold with SensiCore. His 1999 play is off to a very fast start with two wins in his first two tournaments, including a record-tying 59 at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic.
