TRUE TEMPER SHAFTS DOMINATE THE CLASSIC
Memphis, TN - May 21, 1999 - True Temper Sports was the clear winner in the 14th
annual True Temper Classic held at Jackson Country Club in Jackson, Tennessee.
Of the 135 professional and amateur players in the field, 88% use True Temper
iron shafts and 50% use True Temper or Grafalloy shafts in their drivers.
Leading the way for irons is Dynamic Gold® while EI-70® and ProLite® topped the
driver shaft count.
“The results of this shaft survey are very similar to what we see on the PGA
tour every week,” states Bill Beatty, Director of Marketing for True Temper.

performance shafts make True Temper the clear leader in both iron and wood shaft
usage.”

graphite shaft in his driver. The True Temper Classic is one the most popular
