TOP JUNIOR CAPTURES 1999 BUBBA CONLEE

Olive Branch, MS - June 21, 1999 - Ryan Hybl shot his third straight round of 69 to win the Bubba Conlee National Junior Tournament held in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Hybl, the world’s top-ranked junior golfer from Colbert, Georgia, was a model of consistency throughout the week at Cherokee Valley Golf Club. His 54-hole total of 207 (9 under par) was five shots better than Germantown, Tennessee’s Alan Weant.
Brentwood, Tennessee’s Courtney Wood made up a two-stroke deficit to win the girl’s tournament edging out Whitney Code of Tampa, Florida by two shots. Wood lost in a playoff in the 1998 tournament.
