TRUE TEMPER SPORTS INTRODUCES SENSICORE GOLD™

Orlando, FL - February 4, 2000 - True Temper Sports unveiled the next evolution of its SensiCore® technology today with the introduction of SensiCore Gold™ Enhanced Feel Technology™.

True Temper re-defined the premium steel shaft market in 1996 with the introduction of SensiCore, a composite polymer core positioned inside the shaft that eliminates unwanted vibration and improves feel. The result is a shaft that offers the consistent performance of steel with the vibration damping benefits of graphite. With almost six million shafts sold and over one hundred professional tour wins, SensiCore is established as one of the leading technologies in golf.

True Temper Engineers once again teamed with vibration abatement experts Roush Anatrol to develop a more efficient and effective core. SensiCore Gold utilizes three unique bi-polymeric cores throughout the set of irons, while SensiCore employs the same core in each iron shaft. The SensiCore Gold “active energy™” cores provide incremental vibration damping throughout the set. With long irons (1-4 irons) 90% of unwanted vibration is eliminated, mid irons (5-7 irons) 80%, and short irons (8-PW) 70%.

SensiCore Gold technology will be introduced in Dynamic Gold®, Dynamic Gold Lite®, and the new Tri-Gold™ shaft series. True Temper will also continue to sell and market all existing shafts with original SensiCore, which include Dynamic Gold, Dynamic Gold Lite, Dynalite Gold®, Gold Plus®, ExtraLite®, Release, TT Lite® XL, and Rocket™. True Temper’s 2000 national print and television campaign will feature both SensiCore and SensiCore Gold.
