TRUE TEMPER TOUR PERFORMANCE REACHES NEW HEIGHTS
Memphis, Tennessee - March 29, 1999 - True Temper Sports registered another
outstanding weekend on the PGA and Senior PGA golf tours. For the first time
ever, a father – son duo registered wins on their respective tours on the same
weekend. In both instances True Temper shafts were in the bag. Dynamic Gold
steel shafts with SensiCore led the charge as both winners used the #1 iron
shaft in golf to help them find the winners circle. The #1 graphite wood shaft
on the PGA tour, EI-70, was also in the bag of this week’s PGA champion. Not to
be outdone, the company’s Grafalloy ProLite, the #1 UltraLite graphite wood
shaft on tour, was the driver shaft of choice for the Senior tour’s first,
second and third place finishers.
The victories bring True Temper’s win count to 17 out of the 23 events played so
far on the PGA and Senior PGA tours. “The 1999 campaign is proving to be another
record year for True Temper,” notes Scott Hennessy, True Temper President and
