TWO TOURS. TWO SUDDEN DEATH PLAYOFFS. TWO TRUE TEMPER®
VICTORIES
Memphis, Tennessee - February 16,
2004 - Two three-man sudden death playoffs took place this weekend on the
PGA and Champions Tours. While the competition was fierce to see who would come
out on top, the shaft champion was already decided as all six men trusted True
Temper shafts in their irons.
What’s more impressive, the Buick Invitational champion reshafted his irons at
the beginning of the week from a competitor’s product to True Temper Dynamic
Gold® and ended a nine year winless drought that spanned 189 tournaments. True
Temper iron shafts continue to dominate the professional tours with over 65
percent usage on the PGA and Champions tours each week. They also win more
tournaments each year than all other shafts combined.
True Temper Sports is the leading manufacturer of golf shafts in the world and
is consistently the number one shaft on all professional tours globally. The
Company markets a complete line of shafts under the True Temper and Grafalloy
shaft brands, and sells these brands in over thirty countries throughout the
world. True Temper Sports employs over 800 people in ten facilities located in
the United States, Europe, Japan, China and Australia.
