True Temper Wins PGA Tour Double-Header and Web.com Events

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The world’s leading shaft manufacturer, True Temper continued to dominate the field this weekend, winning the World Golf Championship - Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio; and the Reno-Tahoe Open in Reno, Nev., on the PGA TOUR and the Cox Classic on the Web.com Tour.

The wins mark the 20th and 21st wins for Dynamic Gold on the PGA Tour this year, far outpacing the total wins of all other iron shaft brands combined. Overall, True Temper shafts have delivered 64 wins this year on the PGA, Web.com and European Tours.

Starting four shots behind in the final round, the Bridgestone Invitational champion clinched the victory on the 72nd hole of regulation playing Dynamic Gold shafts in his irons. Elsewhere on the PGA TOUR, the Reno-Tahoe Open champion earned his second career PGA TOUR victory, also playing Dynamic Gold.

But True Temper’s victory lap didn’t conclude with just the PGA TOUR. The Web.com Tour’s newest young gun won the Cox Classic in Omaha, Neb., playing Project X. The win was his second consecutive victory since making his professional debut on tour last week.

“For more than 70 years, True Temper shafts have made a winning difference for professional and amateur players all around the world, and we congratulate all the winners on the PGA and Web.com Tours this weekend who trusted our shafts to provide consistency and accuracy shot after shot,” says Chad Hall director of product marketing and global tour operations for True Temper Sports. “True Temper shafts have set the industry standard and the official shaft counts, week after week, clearly show that True Temper shafts are the preferred choice among professional golfers around the world.”
