I got fitted in the dead of winter outside, my entire life I felt I had the right shafts in my irons which were normal stiff shafts. i found out I needed 2x stiff shafts and got them for my next set of irons. Not only did it completely stop the wild hooks but lowered my ball flight and reduced my spin. My game changed completely and I feel confident about my game more than ever thanks to the shaft change.

I #lovemycustomfit because it gives me the best opportunity to score the best and go low on the course! Pre fitting it was like dating randomly you don’t know what you’re going to get and you don’t know if it’ll be a good fit for your game. After you are custom fit, you have something to play that fits you perfectly and your game. That way it’s love at first sight and you can be golf mates forever!!!

Found that I do better with an R flex shaft.
True Temper says to play the softest shaft you can control, and it proved to be true.
While not all R flex shafts are actually the same cpm’s, I got better ball striking and much better feel with the R flex.

Joe Leo

I noticed that the R flex shaft works best, rather than a stiff flex
Better feel and still had good control.

For two years I would never hit the driver. Every time I would go to the range, I would always spend the last quarter of the bucket trying to get it straight without success. Tired of always teeing off with fairway metals, I finally went to get the driver fitted. Being an entirely self taught golfer, I Was absolutely blown away when just shaving two inches off the shaft corrected everything! Dead straight and able to work the ball with ease. Oh and did I mention the increase in swing speed and distance? The custom fitting experience absolutely showed me why everybody should love their custom fit.

My husband Drew loves golf. As a toddler he always had a golfclub in his hand. He grew up playing with his gradfathers old clubs and always seemed to have a mediocre game. For his birthday I took him to get custom fitted for clubs and it has drastically improved his game. The custom fit of the clubs helped to optimize his swing angle and strength of the shaft is customized to enhance his swing speed. With his custom clubs he has reached a personal best of 72 on the golfcourse and loves the game of golf that much more. I would love to join him and get a custom set of clubs so we can play together! #lovemycustomfit

Was getting fitted for some new irons and told him that I have TTDGTI in my irons right now and satisfied with them. After some time comparing m shafts from PX, steel fiber, and KBS, the fitter recommended the CTAPERs in S+ flex. I wasn’t to impressed but insisted they were better for me. So I took his recommendation and put them to the test out on the course. Huge mistake, I should of stuck with I been using all my life. Now I am stuck with a set I don’t use and back to my old set. Bummer.

Custom fit clubs have been great to me ever since I had my first set fitted in 8th grade by my mom’s cousin. My swing has changed much since then as I do not try to swing like Tiger like I did then and fitting the shaft and lie/loft angles has been great for my golf success. Golf is my passion and welcome every opportunity to be surrounded by golf.

I #lovemycustomfit because for years of playing golf I had no idea the disservice I was doing myself by buying off-the-shelf clubs. I have taken countless lessons, recorded a thousand swings on my phone, even bought infomercial swing training equipment to change my swing to play better, but nothing has changed my game more significantly than the golf club fitting I had done in January at Club Champion in Atlanta, Georgia. My fitter put me into a few dozen shaft and head combinations before I quickly realized my swing was good enough but my clubs were not! After figuring out the right shafts and specs for my driver and hybrid, I put them into play last weekend, hitting 8/9 fairways and feeling more confident than I have in years! Currently playing TT Dynamic Gold iron shafts but hoping to upgrade to the new AMT’s X100s within the year!

Despite 40 years of passion & performance, my understanding of the game of golf evolves. A few hours with an expert (from a manufacturer’s traveling tour van), resulted in a combination that I would have never discovered. Ever. Shorter and more upright (opposite of what I used for many years), lighter, and more flexible were the ticket to the next level. Five victories in 2015! #BOOM #XP95 #lovemycustomfit

I got my fitted ap2s two years ago as an inconsistent 18 handicapper who was capable of playing some great holes but not often enough. Upon fitting with my s300 DG shafts I found much more consistency, and won a tournament the 2nd week of using them, with 43 points stable ford. I continued to practise and I found the flight of my new clubs much better, not losing distance with the high spinning high ball flight anymore. As it came to the end of the summer our 2 day club championship took place, and playing off 15 by this point I shot a gross 78 in the first round, and then a gross 77 second round to finish second best gross score but win the handicap score by 11 shots. Absolutely delighted to be my club champion. And all down to my fitting of clubs for the first time. Thank you!

I’ve been playing Ping irons for as long as I can remember. I’ve moved from black to blue to now yellow. I’ve made it s point to go to Arizona to visit the factory and get fitted properly the last 3 years as well and get my color code checked. This past off season I bought some S55’s and they adjusted them for free within an hour. The only thing we did knew this year was the suggestion was made to go to a lighter shaft. My ball flight as always been low. Considering I hit a 6i 180 we tried the XP 95s. It made a considerable change in my flight as well as my dispersion. My plan is to do that within the next 6 months. Currently loving my new irons. #lovemycustomfit

Got fit for a full set of irons a couple years ago. Found out I needed to be extended a half inch and a degree upright. Had previously never broken 80. Broke 80 that summer three times and all on different courses. Also went on to win the annual guys golfing trip by one shot after hitting a great approach shot on the 72nd hole. The beer tasted that much better after that one.

I got fitted a few years back. My game was improving and I was eyeing up some Ping I25 stiff shafts. I had a golf galaxy guys that knew what. Wanted and a Ping fitter who told me maybe I should be looking at the G series in a regular shaft. I listened to the guy who was telling me what I wanted to hear, and for the next two years my game regressed. Thankfully for my game my clubs got stolen and I went to a fitter I trusted and I am I,proving again. Moral of the story. Don’t tell a fitter what club you like. Especially if they are expensive. Let them tell you what clubs you should be playing.

I was in the market for a new set of irons and I wanted to make sure I was playing the right shaft for me. So, I began my search by selecting various iron heads and shafts out of fitting bags at my local shop.

I tried Ping, Callaway, and Mizuno. None of the shafts in the Ping and Callaway selections felt right. Either too light, too “whippy”, or both. I finally put an S300 into an MP-25 head and immediately loved the feel and flight! It was the familiar feel I’ve grown to love!

A week goes by and I go by my local store to try the MP-25 again. This time I select the SL in S300. Ahhh! Nice! It outperformed my current set-up. I hit various shots on the course from different lies and distances within my normal 6 iron range and this shaft was incredible. I had been dropping six balls split between my club and the test MP and hitting into the greens. Out of the final 6 I hit, the three I hit the green with, all inside 10 feet from 162 into a club wind, were the from the MP with SL S300!!!! Unreal! I was sold!

So, I get back to the store and tell the owner I want the MPs! As we’re discussing the make-up, I hear a voice tell me to confirm what I saw with using his Shaft Optimizer. I ask if I could use the optimizer and he says yes. I hit my three shots and he puts in the scores from the club. Guess which shaft is recommended?!?!
DG S300!!!!!!!
Hahaha! Confirmation! I ordered the 4-PW with the S300! So awesome!!!

I had been fit for DG x100 shafts several years back. I trust them. I love them. But over the past few years, several “sexy” options have hit the market. From foreign options to new kids on the block promising unmatched feel to new technology with graphite iron shafts. I began to feel like I needed to branch out and try something new. Maybe cutting edge rather than old school was where I needed to be. So two weeks ago I scheduled an outdoor fitting with an experienced fitter. He had all the shafts made. I told him my thoughts and asked for a blind fitting. I didn’t want my long time affinity for Dynamic Golds to hamper my stepping in to modern technology. I hit 8-10 iron heads on every irons shaft he had. It was clear that one combo worked best. The trajectory was perfect. The feel was unmatched. If I made a good swing, the performance was head and shoulders above any other shaft I tried. The experienced eye of the fitter told me this was the shaft and head I needed in my bag and I was crazy if I bought anything else. But what was it? You know. True Temper Dynamic Gold x100s. I thought tried and true might have been improved upon. I got my answer. Stick with what works. I won’t be worrying about the new kids on the block again. Thanks for helping my game be all it can be.

I was fit for a new set of PSI irons this winter. I have always been a dynamic gold player and was looking for a bit more height to my irons. After trying numerous shafts i asked the fitter about the TT AMT shafts which unfortunately we’re not available yet. We decided to give the DG XP x100 a shot. My ball flight and dispersion were exactly what I was looking for and the feel was comfortable like my old Dynamic Golds. I got lucky and caught a few great days here in the north east to give these a go. The irons performed great leading to a solid 74 the first time out.

I’m finally in a spot in my life were I’m able to get out and play a round or two a month without feeling guilty I may be neglecting my families needs. So needless to say when I was able to save up and buy a set of custom clubs it was a great feeling to know that all of my families needs were being taken care of and I could finally do something for myself without worrying about bills!! It all started with a used Vokey wedge in a used bin. The wedge had a DG S400 shaft which was much different from my DG R300 shafts I had throughout my whole set. I favored the feel and performance of the S400 so I decided to get fitted. My local fitter put my on a launch monitor and ran numbers. Not only did I gain a few yards, I was drastically much more consistent! Bye-bye hooks and spinny shots that came up short of the green. Just by switching shafts I dropped my handicap from a 13 to a 6! That prompted me to get my woods fitted too. Now I have proper flexs, weights and most importantly bend profiles throughout every club in my bag. #lovemycustomfit

Love my XP 95 shafts. I was fitted for my shafts by my local golf store.
I was fitted using the Mizuno Fit system. The Fit System gave 3 choices according to my swing type and swing speed. The 3 recommendation were XP 105, Dynamic Gold r300, and the XP 95 shaft. I just got my irons today and I am so glad I chose the XP 95 shafts. What a tremendous shaft. Long and very high loft. Love these shafts. Hit them today at the range and so consistant with these shafts. They don’t come much better.

The closest to a custom fitting I have got was at Golfsmith. They had hit a few balls and he was somehow able to determine that I should be hitting stiff flex. When I played for my high school’s team back in the day I had played a set of Cleveland TA7’s with True Temper R Sensicore shafts. After playing them for about two years and maturing a bit as a player my ball flight had drastically changed over the course of a winter and I was not getting the flight out of my irons I wanted. As a fairly uneducated player at the time I blamed the clubs and went and bought something else that had similar specs, R shafts, cavity back, easy to hit irons. Had the same problem. I was told by a friend on the team who had been fitted to see a club fitter (this was the first time I had heard of clubs being fit). I explained my situation to the club fitter on staff at my local golf store in Chesterfield, MO.. Tim, I believe his name was. I told him I really liked that set of irons I initially had (TA7’s) and after some analyzation of my swing we determined I was ready to step into a stiff shaft, and he recommended the True Temper Dynamic Gold S300 and fit me for a set of Cleveland TA7 Tour irons with an extra .5″ on the shafts and 1* upright lie. My scores dropped immediately, and my ball flight was right back where I wanted it. Our team made it to the state championship that year, and I made it ad an individual and played better than I ever did pro to that season. I’ve played Dynamic Gold S300 iron shafts ever since, I’ve got them in my Cleveland 588 irons now and still could not be any happier with the performance!!

Yes I think it’s time I got fitted again. Technology has certainly taken off to the next level for sure. The last time I got fitted for golf equipment was in 1995 and the irons were top/flite and they were the progrind version of the clubs. Which means they can be bent like a forged head more upright or standard or flat. I chose the stiff flex 2 degrees upright. They were and still are a great set of irons took me 4 years to go from a 18 handicap to turn professional in the year 2000. Pretty good story if you ever have time to listen to it.

I used the TT Shaft Fit site to find the right shaft for me. It was a pretty easy process and I’d recommend people check out the site. I’d wanted a lower flight at the time and was happy being able to flight the ball the way I wanted.

Over the past few years my game has changed. Made a few swing changes and even dealt with the laterals for a spell. Although I love my PX 6.0’s, they now seem heavy. As an aging Gen-Xer I’m looking for something that the Shaft Fit site could not help me with. A lighter 6.0 that gives me a higher trajectory. The last time I tried the site their was no such thing as an XP shaft. Not until I saw a TT Tweet the other day did I know they existed. Win lose or draw, these shafts will be in my bag.
