Check out our Q&A with Trent and get to know him better:

Q: What is your career highlight?

A: My career highlight while playing was shooting a front nine 29 on a qualifying round in which I made 2 eagles and 4 Birdies in route to a 65.

My professional career highlight was winning back-to-back Public Merchandiser of the Year in 2014/2015 in the Northern Ohio PGA.

Q: What is your favorite part of your job?

A: Being a fitter at a busy public facility, every day is different, and every person I encounter can be a new challenge. Not everyone is created equal so it is nice to have variety from the person with Tour Level Speed that is looking for better shot dispersion to the person with slower speed that you can maximize their launch conditions to help them gain yardage and accuracy so that they enjoy our wonderful game.

Q: What is the tip you give to most golfers?

A: Look in front of the ball. A lot of the amateurs I deal with have too much hit envy and try to hit at the golf ball not through it, so by having them focus on a spot in front of the ball they tend to swing through it better.

Q: What is your dream foursome?

A: This one is difficult, but I would go with my best friend and fellow PGA member Greg Andrego, Arnold Palmer in his prime just to talk shop and be entertained by, and Tiger Woods in his prime just to see all of the fantastic short shots and to see how he thinks his way through a round because in my opinion there is nobody better.

Thanks Trent! You can read more about Trent and his background in the Shaft Council section of our site. Check back for more spotlights on our True Certified Shaft Council members.
