Gold Manufacturing

Gold Manufacturing

All True Temper premium shafts are created using the company’s state-of-the-art proprietary Gold Manufacturing (GM) process. This process ensures pinpoint specification consistency throughout each set while perfecting weight tolerances, taper rates, wall thickness changes, proven tip reinforcement, and balance points for unmatched shot repeatability.

Variable Wall Technology

Variable Wall Technology

True Temper proprietary Variable Wall Technology (VWT) allows our engineers to vary the wall thickness throughout the shaft, enhancing performance. Working in parallel with the GM process, the shaft wall is thinner towards the butt section of the shaft for improved feel and then is thicker towards the tip of the shaft for better control and accuracy. With more than 90% of players on the PGA Tour using shafts featuring VWT, these shafts outperform competitors’ straight pull shafts (which feature the same wall thickness throughout).

VSS Technology

VSS Technology

True Temper’s proprietary Vibration Suppression System (VSS) reduces unwanted shaft vibrations from contact. There are two models of VSS technology: standard VSS which reduces 71% of harsh vibration from contact—producing the softest feel in golf and VSS Pro, which dampens 56% of harsh vibrations from contact while still maintaining the critical shot feedback demanded by accomplished players.

Ascending Mass Technology (AMT)

Ascending Mass Technology (AMT)

True Temper’s Ascending Mass Technology (AMT) allows for the shaft’s weight to get progressively heavier (3g increments) as golfers move from their long irons to short irons, while the balance point is adjusted so that the swing weight of each club is consistent. This allows for increased speed and launch from your long irons while still providing superior control and precision for your scoring clubs.
