Features

Spin

Spin is the amount of backspin that the ball has. The designs of certain golf shafts can promote more or less spin so keep this in mind when looking for a shaft to maximize your game.

Tempo

Tempo is not how fast you swing it, it is how you swing it fast. Tempo will affect how you load and unload the shaft and is a big factor in which shaft will best suit you. A player with a quicker backswing and more aggressive transition will have a faster tempo, while a player with a slower backswing and smoother transition will have a more deliberate tempo.

Trajectory

Trajectory is the flight of the ball and the peak height that the ball reaches. A player who struggles with getting the ball in the air should look towards a higher trajectory shaft, while a player who struggles hitting the ball too high should look for a lower trajectory shaft.

A great shaft for certain players

"I absolutely love the AMT line of shafts. The weight progression through the bag has truly enabled me to become a significantly better ball striker. The one thing to note with AMT shafts that I have found is you need to be cognizant of swing weights. Once I got my swing weights in the right spot these have been amazing. It took some lighter grips, 1/2” extension, and some lead tape on my Mizuno M15s but now I’ve got them D4 in long irons in D5 in scoring irons. I’ve played NS950GH, C-Taper Lite, CT115, and MPH shafts but these AMTs combine all of that into one shaft that does everything. The long irons feel like 950GH/MPH and are easy to hit, the mid irons feel like C Taper Lites, and the short irons feel like the CT115."

"pull out my “AMT black shaft & ding thrball loosey goosey into outer space?"

William H. (4/5)

Not exactly what I wanted

"Got these in a set of irons and really loved them during the fit while hitting the 7 iron. Weight felt right and liked the profile. I had similar numbers with similar shafts, but the fitter said these were the stock option, so they were a bit cheaper, and with the variable weighting, it would make long irons easier to hit. However, I really struggled with my other irons aside from the 7 and had trouble adjusting to the weight differences between clubs. The short irons all felt really heavy and hard to swing, but the long irons felt incredibly light and whippy to the point my short irons always missed with blocks, and the long irons always missed with pulls. I do think some people may benefit from this type of variation, but it was not for me"

Vastly improved ball flight

"The change to T200s with the AMT Black draft has made me excited about playing golf again. As I've gotten older my iron game had eroded. These shafts give me ball flight and distance that have been missing for 6 or 8 years. I've only been playing them for a few weeks but haven't had any issues."

Weak Shafts That Break

"Had them in my T300 irons for about year and both my 5 and 7 iron have snaped at the head upon ball contact. When the 5 iron broke it was off a tee shot and a divot was barely even taken. Shafts shouldn't snap hitting off grass let alone a tee shot."

Broken shafts

"I have trouble with these shafts breaking I sent them back and Titleist re-shafted the whole set of irons however that did not fix the problem 3 weeks ago I broke my pitching wedge today I broke 7 iron and 8 iron all breaks are in the handle apart from the 7 iron Anyone had a similar issue?"

Paul (2/5)

What I needed!

"I had a low launch with my irons. These immediately increased my height with zero change by me or my swing. The technology in these shafts blew me away! Get fitted by a professional and quit guessing."
