Features

Spin

Spin is the amount of backspin that the ball has. The designs of certain golf shafts can promote more or less spin so keep this in mind when looking for a shaft to maximize your game.

Tempo

Tempo is not how fast you swing it, it is how you swing it fast. Tempo will affect how you load and unload the shaft and is a big factor in which shaft will best suit you. A player with a quicker backswing and more aggressive transition will have a faster tempo, while a player with a slower backswing and smoother transition will have a more deliberate tempo.

Trajectory

Trajectory is the flight of the ball and the peak height that the ball reaches. A player who struggles with getting the ball in the air should look towards a higher trajectory shaft, while a player who struggles hitting the ball too high should look for a lower trajectory shaft.

low penetrating flight but surprisingly l&s

"Denali black 60 stiff driver shaft - just switched out the hzrds stock regular shaft which didn't suit me and had started to "click" worryingly after each use. Massive transformation - I had a tendency to balloon fade/slice if I went after it and had to slow the take away - I still do that but now the shots go low, straight, similar carry though and a little more run. So much more reliable, I am loving it!"

Stable Moderate Swinger Low Launch Loooong!

"My search for a lower launching and stable driver shaft has ended! I had been playing a stock R flex shaft. I could launch it plenty high but felt like I wasn’t getting everything out of my drives. I swing about 93mph with moderate tempo. I chose to go with the 65g 6. 0 Denali Black. I’ve added at least 20 yards to my driver distances. My scores are lower because I’m hitting shorter approaches to greens. Handicap is also starting to trend lower too. I’m so glad to have found this shaft which seems a perfect fit for me. Denali Black me love you long time."

Denali Black 6. 0 60,70,80 perfect shafts for me!

"55 years old. Swing speed 115 max. Usually play X in Aldila/Mitsubishi shafts. Found the G4 Hazrdus 6. 5 incredibly stiff. Went for 6. 0 denali 60 black. Worked immediately and penetrating ball flight yet stayed up in the air. Beat all my other shafts by 10-15 yds on average ( I have a lot ). Did the same for 3 and 5 wood, went for 70g and 80g weights both at 6. 0, same results, penetrating, yet stays up. Never had such quick perfect results in any shaft change before. Thought it was 1 off first test. Tried again today. Same A/B testing results, so its real! Heads were triple diamond AI smokes. Either I have gotten really good over the winter, not playing, or these shafts really fit me. I am a moderate tempo, non aggressive loader, hence the 6. 0 work, don't snap hook, yet still hit pentrating ball flight at my swing speed. Aldila Rogue White 130 X were the shafts they are replacing, which fly a bit higher and have a lot more dispersion with a tendency to hook vs these new Denali black's! Great job Project X team!"

Excellent shaft that offers feel and control

"Pleasantly surprised by this stock shaft. I've recently been fitted into the Callaway Triple Diamond, to help reduce my excessive spin rates. As a part of this process I tested out numerous shafts, including the same manufacturers Hazzy shafts. None had the balance of feel and control this new Denali shaft gave me. I have to say I'm extremely impressed and look forward to gaming it over the course of the next few years."

Denali Black Stiff 60

"What a smooth shaft absolute fairway finder for me average between 100-105mph swing always had slice problems paired this with Callaways 9. 0 Ai Smoke Max with fade setting and send 260-270yard bombs down the guts. definitely worth testing in a fit out."

Better than Ventus

"This shaft is an excellent alternative to Fujikura's Ventus Black. Way better feel in the swing. Low torque without feeling clunky like Ventus. If you have a strong swing with higher than average swing speed, definitely give this a try."
