Features

Spin

Spin is the amount of backspin that the ball has. The designs of certain golf shafts can promote more or less spin so keep this in mind when looking for a shaft to maximize your game.

Tempo

Tempo is not how fast you swing it, it is how you swing it fast. Tempo will affect how you load and unload the shaft and is a big factor in which shaft will best suit you. A player with a quicker backswing and more aggressive transition will have a faster tempo, while a player with a slower backswing and smoother transition will have a more deliberate tempo.

Trajectory

Trajectory is the flight of the ball and the peak height that the ball reaches. A player who struggles with getting the ball in the air should look towards a higher trajectory shaft, while a player who struggles hitting the ball too high should look for a lower trajectory shaft.

100g or 110g for 5. 5?

"Burning question: the website listed 5. 5 at 100g when I bought it. Now it writes 110g, which one is true? I am settled with this PX Red for my King Forged Tec 2021 parallel tip with 6. 0 Softstepped*2 0. 5"tipped in my 5I, and 5. 5 straight in my 4I. I tried many others before this. This one delivers in terms of its spin and carry and saved my 4I. Distance wise, it is less consistent though, likely because of my swing. A head on comparison with CTL S P-tip, which is still with my Pw-6I: CTL is crispier and sharper GIVEN that your strength can overpower it. CTL T-tip was okay in 5I-4I, but felt a little loose. PX IO 5. 5 Hardstepped*1 was okay in 5I-4I too but felt imho more sluggish in the tip-mid section. I wish the PX Red came with more mass in the handle and lighter in the tip, but that may compromise its good weight balance between the head and the lower half of the shaft that it has now (for spin). (I guess a lighter 5I head would help my swing) So, I guess this PX Red is at its optimal already."

Great shaft! finally stiff and light!

"Have always been a modus3 105S player and finally have moved away into this shaft. have always like the projectX profile but needed lighter and more trajectory. I play off 2hcp and this shaft is an absolute dart! so much control but higher launch and more spin. exactly what i have been looking for. I strongly think if you are a good player 0-10hcp this shaft will suprise you with how well it plays and how easy it is too hit. you can definitely feel the club head more and not as whippy as some other shafts. this will be my shaft for the foreseeable now,. i dont see many beating this in the stiff and light categories."

Project X feel with added spin

"Switch from a 6. 5 Projext X to the 6. 5 Project X Red. Same exact feel but added about 10ft to my peak height and almost 1000rpms spin. Same very stable boardy feel of the OG project X for aggressive tempos. Works well in the players distance irons with the stronger lofts. I ordered just one shaft to start in my 7i and bought the rest since no one has it yet in demo fitting centers."

3. Who should use Project X iron shafts?

Project X iron shafts are best for golfers with fast swing speeds and aggressive transitions who want to reduce spin and maintain control under pressure.

4. What is Project X HZRDUS known for in driver shafts?

HZRDUS is known for low torque, low spin, and tour-level stability, making it a top choice for players looking to maximize distance while controlling launch and dispersion.
