Most grips use basic line or dot perforations that provide traction in only one or two directions. ICON's iX250 perforation shape features six directional channels that deliver slip resistance both longitudinally and torsionally— meaning it holds through the full swing, not just at address. The channels also actively move moisture away from your hand rather than letting it pool, which makes a noticeable difference in wet or humid conditions.

The ICON grip uses a proprietary EPDM rubber blend specifically formulated for grip and durability. It delivers 20% more traction surface than the leading grip currently on tour. EPDM is also known for holding up well against UV exposure and temperature changes, so the feel and performance stay consistent over a full season of play.

Most grips require secondary machining after molding to clean up the surface and achieve the final texture. The ICON grip skips that step entirely — the laser ablated tooling produces the finished surface directly from the mold. The practical result is that every grip comes out of production with the same precise texture and dimensions. You get more consistency grip to grip across your entire set, which matters for feedback and feel.

The ICON grip is available in Standard .580", Standard .600", Standard Rib .580", and Midsize .600". As a general rule, with your lead hand on the club your middle and ring fingers should lightly brush your palm — not dig in and not float freely. If you're between sizes, most club fitters recommend going with the larger option for better torsion control. The Ribbed version includes a reminder ridge on the underside for players who prefer a consistent hand position at address.

The ICON is designed as an all-clubs grip. The traction and moisture management characteristics are particularly valuable on wedges and short irons where touch and feedback matter most, but the standard firmness and size range make it equally well-suited across a full iron set or fairway woods. You get consistent feel and performance from driver to wedge without mixing grip models.
